Chapter Events

The Utah Chapter sponsors, organizes, and highlights harp-related events throughout the State of Utah.

Concerts

The American Harp Society often invites harpists from around the world to perform in Utah, but we also coordinate and highlight performances by Utah Harpists!

Masterclasses and Visiting Artist Private Lessons

When the chapter is privileged to invite visiting artists, chapter members can participate in masterclasses and sign up for private lessons.

Utah Harp Festival

Each year in the spring, Utah Harpists gather in Provo, Utah and in St. George, Utah to celebrate annual accomplishments, perform, and be together in one space!

Register for this year's Harp Festival on the Harp Festival Event Page!

Utah Harp Competition

The Utah Chapter of the American Harp Society sponsors but does not run the Utah Harp Competition. Please direct inquiries to Maren Laurence, whose contact information you can find in your member directory.

Teachers are required to contribute to the running of festival with their time and expertise.  This "event" will collect information about your availability to judge OR give you the opportunity to opt out with a financial contribution.

If you are interested in providing volunteer hours outside of judging, please reach out to the Chapter Board at harp.society.utah@gmail.com

For context, we need A LOT of volunteers to make the Harp Festival a success, including:

    • Judges Coordinator (assigns judges to sessions and levels, helps with judging training)
    • Harp Coordinator (coordinates loaner harps)
    • Room Monitors (whole day commitment) - excellent for member-service hours
    • Honors Recital Coordinator
    • Harp Tuning Coordinator and Tuners (all day commitment)
